Tasty Tacos mexican restaurant is a long-time favorite in the Des Moines area. You order your food at the counter and they call you number when it is ready. The selection of options range from tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and nachos. They also have many side options from spanish rice, tasty tators, onion rings, and chili cheese fries to name a few. Mix and match your favorites as all items are sold a la carte.

The most popular is the "Original" flour taco. The "Original" consists of seasoned ground beef and bean mixutre, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and all placed in freshly fried puffy flour tortilla.

Smashburger has consistently delivered a great burger each and every time I have visited. The place is clean, full of friendly helpful staff, and great tasting food. Smashburger offers a nice selection of burgers and toppings, grilled chicken sandwiches, and salads. They offers sides like fries, smash fries which are tossed in oil and rosemary, sweet potato fries, and onion strings.

Pictured below is the Iowa Burger with American Cheese instead of Blue Cheese and the regular fries.

This is a great place to get a burrito or nachos. Bandit Burrito has options to build the flavors you like and want. They are open from 6am-10pm 7 days a week. Stop in for a breakfast burrito before heading to work.

Bandit Burrito has brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

Bicycle riding in Alaska in the winter seems a bit nutty. My brother after the Frosty Bottom 50 mile bike ride. I think he has snot sickles.

Should you love the Olive Garden? Absolutely you should. Yes it is a National chain restaurant found in many of the states across the US- and while many cry local- it is good. Now it is not the Latin King or Baratta's. So stop by for salad, bread sticks, and traditional Italian grub.
