They are still offering this great deal.  Today I got 3 Taco Bravos, a small Potato Ole, and Nacho Cheese for under $4.00.  Take the survey from your receipt and next time you visit you can save a couple bucks.

Sam my son and I visited Papa Chubby's in Ankeny for Ribs. I ordered a full slab of ribs with Fries and Cheesey Potatoes.  I want to say it was priced at $16.99. We both loved the ribs- they were sticky good. They must smother the ribs in brown sugar and spicies. My son said they are the best ribs yet!  The only disappointment was that kids menu/section did not have any barbecue on it so I incurred a split plate charge of $4.30 when we split the meal. Which was a bit odd.

So I am trying one of those restaurants that has been on my to eat list for sometime called Z'Mariks. I walked into the place with open ideas of what to expect but smell was not on my list. The place smelled of fresh bread and garlic which intensified my hunger. They offer Rice Bowls, Noodle Bowls, and soup and salads. I chose the Thai Stir-Fry on the recommendation from a friend. Not disappointed at all. This included broccoli, carrots, snap peas, and roasted peanuts in a spicy Thai sauce served over steamed rice. Stop by Z'Mariks for some outstanding fresh dishes.

My wife and I had a date night out and we have been hearing Smashburger was the place to try.  We both were somewhat excited as we both like good hamburgers.   Smashburger does have quite a few items on the menu from salads, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and hamburgers.  They do offer a kids menu as well.  My wife went with the Iowa exclusive Iowa Smashburger which is topped with Maytag bluecheese, bacon, haystack onion strings, cheddar cheese on a egg bun. I snagged a sample and it was pretty good.  I went with the BYO.  I topped my half pound burger with bacon, sauteed mushrooms, grilled onions, and cheddar cheese on a egg bun.   I had them smother the fried burger with Smashburger sauce which was kinda like mustard and mayo. So my final thoughts it is a very interesting place to get a burger- however the taste was like many of the other burger joints that offer a fried burger. I flame broiled burger would make this place unbeatable.

Today we have crappy weather conditions and the Company I work for was generous to have lunch delivered from Jason's Deli. The cool thing about Jason's Deli is that your group can setup a profile so you can sit at you PC and order your lunch. They offer their whole menu online and you make requests to modify your meal. It is a great convienence and makes it easy for everyone to order.
