Thin Crust Pizza Recipe
The recipe for this thin crust is fast and easy. Will make two 12-14 inch pizzas.
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of hot water (125-130 degrees)
- 3 tbsp of sugar
- 2 tbsp of quick rising yeast
- 2 tbsp of oil
- 1 tbsp salt
Pre-heat your oven and pizza pan to 450 degrees. In a large bowl add your dry ingredients and mix well. Add water and oil and mix well. Stir until mixture forms a ball. Remove and place on a well floured surrface and knead for 4-5 minutes. Let you dough rest for 10-15 minutes. After resting cut your dough into two equal parts and roll out each one out to your desired thickness. I like mine to be about quarter inch thick. Remove your pizza pan or stone from the oven and place your rolled dough on the pan. Next add your pizza sauce. I like to use tomato paste and will season it with hot pepper flakes, garlic powder, basil, and cracked black pepper. I will then add my ingredients sparingly- this is important as too many ingredients will make your crust soggy. Add your cheese and make sure you are not over doing it. Place your pizza in the oven and take a peek in 10 minutes and see where it is. The edge of the cheese should start to brown along with your crust.
